An obsessive FBI Agent, Raymond Walker, is brought in when people start disappearing in the area around the Miller Botanical Research Centre in the Sacramento Valleys. He meets the world-renowned master olive grower, and biologist, Dr Alfred Miller, who heads the centre, and discovers the sinister truth about him. 

 

Walker almost loses his objectivity when he delves into Miller’s traumatic childhood, where he must find the key to Miller’s depraved fanaticism.

 

If he doesn’t discover the importance of inosculation—a coming together of two objects, or a union of openings—he may never be able to save the final victim of Miller’s brutal spree.
